Fab lab
A Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab) is a platform for technical prototyping where people can design and build their own technology. They began as an outreach program run by MIT's Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA). Fab labs aim to stimulate local entrepreneurship while also serving as a learning and innovation platform. Fab labs are designed so that people with little or no experience can come in and work on developing their own technology for personal or commercial use.
Fab Labs also becomes a medium for connecting to a global community of learners, educators, technologists, researchers, and innovators – essentially becoming a self-sustaining global knowledge-sharing network.
The Indian government aims to transform India into a software/hardware superpower through its “Make in India” program. For this transformation, our country needs talented employees who can create products for the emerging industries (both Electronics & ICT). The number of new internet users has reached 80 million, with a projected increase to 500 million in the next 5 years.
Fab lab provides access to advanced Digital Fabrication machines like 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC mills for any prototyping needs. Get an introduction to rapid prototyping and learn about the various Digital Fabrication techniques with us.
