Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) compiles in Communication Engineering and core Electronics Engineering. Electronics and Communication Engineering deals with electronic devices and software applications. It is an interface of chip level hardware and information technology.

Electronic communication engineers are engineers who research, develop, and manufacture modern electronic devices and communication systems. As a result, we can state how critical this department is in today's rapidly evolving technological world.

The Electronics and Communication Department of HCET is a proud hostage to the bachelor of a student who has the aspiration to change the world through their technical aptitude to instill the Electronic Digital Age to preach the saga of a millennium of “Electronic Ultimatum”. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in HCET was started in the year 2010 with an impressive infrastructure backed by the most contemporary lab equipped with highly sophisticated instruments. Currently, it offers core courses whose successful completion leads to a B.Tech Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the University of Kerala. The program is aimed at providing premier professional training with the emphasis on the modern developments in Electronics & Communication Engineering. The department is ISO 9001-2008 certified since April 2012.

  • Students who study ECE will have the option of working in the IT sector or the core electronic industry. ECE Engineers have a lot of opportunities in the government sector as well. Almost all PSUs have job openings for ECE engineers.
  • ECE's aspirants are never held back. It offers the most promising and secure jobs to its employees. The sky is the limit for those who excel in the ECE skill set.
  • Because of the integration of electronics into various new industrial verticals, new opportunities and avenues are also opening up for electronics and communication engineers. The most recent technologies include self-driving cars, autonomous drone logistics, robotics, industrial automation, smart energy systems, and so on.
