Institution of Engineers(India)
The Institution of Engineers (India), is the national organization for engineers in India. IEI has over 0.5 million members from 15 engineering disciplines in 99 centers or chapters in India and overseas; it is the world's largest multi-disciplinary engineering professional society in engineering and technology world, The Institution of Engineers (India) was established in 1920 and was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1935. Heera College of Engineering and Technology (HCET) got Institutional Membership from IE(I) on 19/May/2015. In HCET, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments of HCET is accredited by the IE(I). In the current academic year (2015-16), more than 60 members are registered for starting IE(I) students chapter in HCET.
Applications of Engineering for Green Technology(AEGT-2015)
Heera College of Engineering & Technology Conducted First National Level Conference “Applications of Engg. for Green Technology” (AEGT-2015) on 20TH& 21ST February 2015. The conference was aimed at bringing together the researchers/scientists/engineers of various disciplines and experts to provide a common platform for sharing their scientific results, thoughts and ideas. The conference covered all engineering aspects relating to Electronics, Electrical, Computer, Civil and Mechanical domains. The 2 day IE(I) sponsored National Conference AEGT-2015 was inaugurated by Dr. M Abdul Rahiman, Pro Vice chancellor of Kerala Technological University.Mr. V. Vijayakumar, Chairman, The Institution of Engineers (India) (Kerala State centre), Mr. Neelakandan, Chairman, Computer Society of India (kerala state).& Mr. S. Radhakrishnan, Director, CERCON, The Institution of Engineers (India) were present in the inauguration function. Mr. Rajesh P, Board Member, OWASP gave the Keynote speech. Total 360 papers were received from various field of engineering related to green technology. 241 papers were selected for oral presentation. From the presented papers, 117 best manuscripts were selected for online publication. The selected 117 papers were published in IJARTET Journal.
